Jan Kontroll is often to be seen wandering the canals of Amsterdam, where he spends much of his time, and is very much an artist looking to House and Techno for inspiration.

Two EPs, Helping Hand, and Against the Tide survived a purge of material at the end of 2016 but tracks from those made their way onto the In Amsterdam album. In 2022 Jan released his second album, This Close.
